My Nail Art: The Easter Bunny

Hi Hi!the easter bunny nails

This year I decided on a pink Easter bunny.

What you need: (plus the nail polishes I used)

Base coat- Natural Collection Vitamin Basecoat

Topcoat- Barry Ms Basecoat, Topcoat and Nail Hardener

Light green nail – China Glaze Highlight of my Summer

Dark green nail polish- China Glaze The Perfect Holly-Day

Pink nail polish- OPI Strawberry Margherita

White nail polish- Collection 7day wear White Out

Black nail polish- Seventeen Gel Colour Black Cat

Gold nail polish- Collection 2000 Maxiflex Bronzed

Red nail polish- Rimmel 60seconds super shine Double Decker Red

Glittery nail polish- My Little Pony China Glaze Let Your Twilight Sparkle

What to do:

First step is the basecoat.  I applied two coats.

Wait to dry!

Apply a coat of light green nail polish on the thumb, pointer and middle finger and a coat of pink nail polish on the rest of the nails.

Wait to dry!

Now apply a dark green nail polish with a small brush and wipe off excess on bottle and then apply strokes on .

Wait to dry!

Thumb

For this nail you are going to make the bunny head. Using your pink nail polish shape two ears and half of a bunny face.

Wait to dry!

Now using white nail polish paint the inside of the ears and apply two large dots with a dotting tool for eyes. Once that is dry I applied a green dot inside the eyes and applied a black dot for the pupils.

Pointer finger

This nail has the bottom half of the face and the top half of the bunny’s body. Using the pink nail polish make the shape of a rough pear shape.

Wait to dry!

Using a black nail polish and a  dotting tool make a nose by making a dot and slightly dragging them and then make a thin smile. Then using a white nail polish make a set of teeth and outline with black. Using a sparkly shimmery nail polish make a half circle shape for the top of the bunny belly. I also added two black line of either side to create the arms.

Middle finger

Using the pink nail polish make two arms curving in wards towards the middle of the nail. Next using the sparkly shimmery nail polish fill in between the arms. the bottom half of the nail is the basket with the Easter egg. I used a gold brown nail polish and made a basket and then I painted a little egg inside.

Ring finger

Using a sparkly shimmery nail polish paint the bunny’s belly.

Pinkie finger

Using a large white dotting tool swirl a fluffy bunny tail in the middle of the nail. Lastly apply a top coat over all the nails and you are done 😀

HAPPY EASTER!!!!:D

My Nail Art: Dotted Hearts

Hi Hi! 😀 Dotty Valentine nails

I decided on a dotty kind of Valentine manicure but thought a more red black and white one would work pretty nicely.

What you need: (plus the nail polish colours I used)

Basecoat -Natural Collection Vitamin Basecoat

Topcoat – Barry M Basecoat, Top coat and Nail Hardener

Red nail polish- Rimmel 60seconds Super Shine Double Decker Red

White nail polish- Collection 7Day Wear White Out

Black nail polish- Seventeen Gel Colour Black Cat

Dotting tool

First step is the base coat. I used two coats.

Wait to dry!

Next apply a coat of white or red nail polish as your base colour as you can see in the photo I decided to apply it alternatively except for the pinkie finger which I painted black.

Wait to dry!

Next I got a large dotting tool and a red nail polish if on white base or black nail polish on the red base (see pic if confused) I then created a semi heart shape which I kind of filled in. Then I used a smaller dotting tool and used black nail polish over the white base and white nail polish over the red base and outlined the already dotted heart I created earlier.

The pinkie nail I made a solid heart using a white nail polish and a small brush and then proceeded on top with a red colour. I then applied my top coat and you are done 😀

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL THAT ARE CELEBRATING AND TO ALL THOSE THAT ARENT JUST KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED 😀

Nail of The Day ;0) Opening Presents

Hi Hi! 😀

I randomly impulse on one nail- the thumb!!!

I was thinking of a Christmas-y type of thing and decided on a little girl peeking inside the Christmas present box.

I started off with a red box shape in the middle of the tip of my nail.  Added some gold glitter for the ribbon. A flesh colour for the face along with green and black eyes and ginger hair with a little pink bow. I also outlined the box to make it pop out a bit more.

My Nail Art: Metallic Diwali

Hi Hi! 😀

Diwali is on its way this week and so I decided to do another manicure for it but I decided to go a slightly different way.

What you need:metallic diwali

Basecoat

Topcoat

Silver colour nail polish

Gold colour nail polish

Dotting tool/toothpicks/Nail art pen

First step is the basecoat. I am using Barry Ms Basecoat, Topcoat and Nail Hardener. I used two coats.

Wait to dry!

Next paint your nails alternating between your gold and silver nail polishes.  I am using Seventeen Quicker Slicker Fury. Click the link to see review-https://theheartofnails.wordpress.com/2017/10/10/seventeen-quicker-slicker-nail-polish-fury-review and Rita Ora’s Rimmel Pedal to the Metal.

Wait to dry!

Next make the candle holder. Using the brush that comes with your nail polish just swipe an angle halfway down your nail from the left to the bottom right corner and then halfway down again from the right to the bottom left corner. If you get confused see photo. Also remember to use the gold on the silver and silver on the gold nail polish.

The last bit is to add the flame and you can use whatever nail art tool that works best to make a tear drop shape. You can then add a top coat if you wish I chose to keep it the way it looked.

A message to anyone celebrating HAPPY DIWALI AND A  VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! 😀

My Nail Art: Dragon Eyes

What you need:

Topcoat

Basecoat

Green glitter nail polish

Dark pink (matte) nail polish

Green nail polish(yes another one)

Orange nail polish

Red nail polish

Black nail polish

White nail polish

Nail art brush/dotting tools

First step apply 2coats of your basecoat. I am using Barry Ms Super Mani 7 in 1 Nail Treatment.

Next using your dark pink nail polish and your glitter green nail polish paint alternate nails. I chose to have the pointer and the ring finger as the green ones. I used China Glaze Flying Dragon please click link for review-https://theheartofnails.wordpress.com/2017/05/30/china-glaze-nail-polish-review-flying-dragon and Seventeen Colour Carnival Green Gold Shimmer. Wait to dry!!

Thumb of Fire ;op

Obviously with a dragon you got to have some fire so for the thumb I have done this mix of orange red. I have used Rita Ora’s Rimmel 60secs Super Shine Tangerine Tent please click link for review-https://theheartofnails.wordpress.com/2015/04/07/rimmel-60-seconds-super-shine-by-rita-ora-nail-polish-tangerine-tent-review and I used Etude House Berry Delicious Strawberrry Souffle Strawberry Jam https://theheartofnails.wordpress.com/2016/10/04/etude-house-nail-polish-review-berry-delicious-strawberry-souffle-strawberry-jam-8. The best way for me to create the fire effect was to wipe of the nail polish on the side of the bottle as much as possible and just randomly dab the two colours. You could also use a makeup sponge and dap the nail polish that way if you prefer.

The pointer and ring finger dragon scales. I used a green nail polish and randomly splotched it on the nails to create a slight two tone effect of the scales. I used Seventeen Colour Carnival Emerald Green please click the link for the review-https://theheartofnails.wordpress.com/2016/05/31/colour-carnival-by-seventeen-review-emerald-green

The last two nails are the dragon eyes. I first used the red nail polish and a nail art brush and tried to create some blood vessels in the eyes.

Wait to dry!

Using a nail art brush outline the shape of an almond for the pupil of the eye. Then fill in with a black nail polish. Lastly add a large white dot and a little dot slightly away from the first for a reflection and you are done :D:D

Apply your top coat and you have your dragon inspired manicure :D:D:D
