Nails Of The Day!: Wedding Reception

Hey Hey! 😀

Me and my Sweet One were invited to our first formal event and seeing as how I am not particularly dress-y and not of the same background I really had to think bout what to wear and that included having my nails match my outfit 😀

Nails Inc: Flock You Nail Polish Review Part 2- Glamingo

The Look nails inc glamingo bottle

The bottle is a square shape with a silver lid with a black screw top underneath. The nail polish is a cream very vibrant pink.

1st coat

My Experience

Applying this nail polish was a little streaky at first but from afar could get away with being opaque in one coat. The formula was a little on the thick side for me but applying the second coat went more smoothly. 

My Thoughts

2nd coat

 

This nail polish was amazingly bright and pretty much a neon pink. Bit of streakiness on first coat but second coat definitely better. I really think that this colour is really nice summer nail polish and in spite of the formula its still very pretty. 

Overall

I give this nail polish a 7/10. The streakiness isn’t particularly nice  but the colour payoff  after the 2nd coat is magic.

Nails Inc: Flock You Nail Polish Review Part 1- Birds Before Boys

Hi Hi! 😀

I found another Nails inc set that I really liked the look of.

The bottle is a square shape with a silver lid with a black screw top underneath. The nail polish is a gold- coppery glittery shade with hints of pink.

1st coat

My Experience

This nail polish was easy to apply and I managed bout two swipes to cover the nail. It was sheer but looked as if another coat would just about do to make it opaque. Drying time seemed reasonable and just as predicted 2nd coat was opaque.

My Thoughts

2nd coat

This nail polish claim to have green in it according to the description on the box but I did not see it. It comes across as a gold or copper or even slight orange colour with hints of pink which altogether makes a very pretty look.

Overall

I give this nail polish a 8/10. It is expensive but the result along with the two coat opaqueness and lots of shimmery glitter is worth it.

Nails Inc. Self Made Mermaid Nail polish Duo Review – Part 2 Ocean Ever After

The nail polish is in a rectangle clear bottle with a silver pull off lid but has a black screw top lid underneath which is attached to a wide brush. The colour of the nail polish I’m reviewing is a shimmery green blue colour

My Experience 2nd coat ocean ever after nail polish

Applying this nail polish was really nice. The glitter spread on smoothly and it was pretty much opaque in one coat. the wide brush made this quick and simple to apply.

I thought this nail polish was very pretty and did come off very shiny and mermaid like.

Overall 

I give this nail polish an 8/10 very pretty and shiny and able to paint nail in one or half opaque stroke.

Nails Inc. Self Made Mermaid Nail polish Duo review Part 1-Mermaid Parade

I found this and had to try it 😀

The nail polish is in a rectangle clear bottle with a silver pull off lid but has a black screw top lid underneath which is attached to a wide brush. The colour of the nail polish I’m reviewing is a light shimmery silver blue colour.

 

What I have

Mermaid Parade 14ml

Experience mermaid parade 3coats

Automatically I knew this nail polish would be sheer. First coat was very pretty and would look nice if you like it bit see through. The second coat was slightly more opaque but has slight streaks. With the shine it gives off and looking at it with distance you could get away with just the two coats of nail polish. I decided to go full opaque so I tried a third coat but again as mentioned there were still streaks.

This nail polish has a very pretty shimmery look to it with a slight pearl finish. In certain light it also gives off a slight pink tint which is also quite nice.  

Overall

I give this nail polish a 7/10 The price is bit expensive and the nail polish is sheer and streaky in two coats but its really pretty  and looks pretty good if patient for 3rd coat.

OPI Nail polish review Matte Top coat

Hi Hi! 😀

I needed a new matte top coat so I decided on a different brand altogether from the one I usually use.Opi Matte top coat bottle

First Look

Typical large clear bottle with black lid but has a sticker on it saying matter top coat. The nail polish itself looks slightly frosty but may be the bottle

What I tried

I tried Matte top coat 15ml  

 

 

 

My Experience opi matter topcoat nails

I decided to paint my nails red as I don’t particularly like red on my nails but decided to see if it look better matte. The brush was quite thin but I  managed to get the nail done in two strokes. The nail polish was jus the right consistency and seemed to dry quite fast. I did notice I missed areas close to the cuticle area so I just touched that up and it was all smooth with no lumps on where I touched it up. 

My Thoughts

This topcoat was fairly easy to use in spite of the thin brush and it dried quick. I do feel this is expensive even though I paid less then retail price.

Overall

I would give this nail polish a 8/10 no problems, does what it should along with fast drying time but price is expensive given brand and size of bottle.
